Hello everybody!! I like the layout okay, but just warning you it will change again when I get my digital camera. So like… two days. And I need to actually put some links up on the links page. I really did have a lot on there…. and then I accidentally saved over it, so I had to redo it, and I was tired. And I think the Absorb page is really dumb. I don’t know what I was thinking when I made it. I’m thinking of taking it off. But anyhoo… that’s about it. Tyler loaned me Evangelion, so I’m gonna watch that. Alesha and I watched Adaptation and Frida last night and they were both excellent movies. Adaptation especially had a lot of good quotes.

My mom was showing me how much George Harrison’s son looked like him when they inducted him into the Hall of Fame on VH1. I think that him, Sean Lennon, Paul McCartney’s son (who plays the guitar) should all get together and play. I wonder if Ringo has a son that plays drums? It’d be a really neat idea. Somehow I see them as being a punk band though. Huh.

Blech. I am feeling so yucky. Blech.

And I hate this layout. Blech.

I am supposed to be at Carmike right now, working. From 9:30 to 5. But I woke up sick, and I still feel sickly, and they never answer the phone, so they probably think I am a no-call/no-show, which stresses me out and makes me feel sicker. I hate it.

    Blech.

Sorry you couldn’t find me Eric. My phone was off because it wasn’t charged, but I did check my messages, and you went to Carmike but I was working at Blockbuster last night, so poo. And today I am sick and can’t hang out. But I can talk to you through my journal entry because it doesn’t take a lot of effort to move fingers.

And Tony, I’m glad you’re updating again. I liked your entries! Especially the part about counter-strike equals bedtime… except that i’ve never played counter-strike… but I still understand.

I wish I could play a video game right now. I just scooted my computer chair up and my heart’s beating all hard now. Argh.

I watched Happenstance this morning, which is a french film and it was really good. I still need to watch Shaolin: Wheel of Life and Evangelion Vol. 1 which I rented. I really really want to redesign my website but I don’t want to expend the energy. I’ll just wait. I’m very close to getting my digital camera anyway. I’m talking like a week from now. It would be pointless to make another design now.

    So bye.

Okay, so I changed the layout anyway. At least I like it better.

Okay, I really like Blockbuster. It is awesome. Yay!

I’m really tired. Last night was dancing and spending time at Andy and Jessica’s with a big ole’ group of people. I loved seeing Andy and Jessica again. In the short time I’ve known them and as little as I get to see them, they’ve still become some of my favorite people. I hardly even talk to Jessica that much and I’d call her a close friend. I love that.

This morning at 5 was driving back to Muskogee, Alesha and I. There was a thick layer of fog all over the place, and it made everything surreal and beautiful, like looking straight at the dim sun just barely above a green field. Just purple haze everywhere. All these beautiful and poetic moments keep happening before I can get my camera. Argh. But I can still keep them.

Today after I woke up was cleaning. Lots of cleaning. I’m ready to sleep some more now, and looking around you can’t really tell I did anything. sigh At least I can look forward to work now instead of dreading it.

Oh my gosh I found the best website –> http://www.realjapan.net. Go! I love the toilets.

Speaking of Japan, I was in Shayna’s mom’s store (which is closing… tear but everything’s half off so go buy something) and the twins, Misty and Melody, came in. I asked them if they had applied for the Kyoto trip and they said they didn’t. They take Japanese at TCC and they said they were sure that the people in class 4 or more advanced would have a better chance. This makes me kind of nervous because I only know basic conversational Japanese. But it doesn’t hurt to apply, I guess. And regardless, I’m getting to Japan someday.

I’m just so dang excited about going to school for it!!! Ack!! hyperventilates

Bryan’s 21st birthday was Saturday, so the legal drinkers went to the Wild Cowboy (which completely sucks, don’t go there). Alesha got tipsy, I had a yummy Sprite, although I did have a few drinks of Alesha’s Sea Breeze’s, they are absolutely yummy. We got hit on quite a bit, there was one guy that sat down with us after the boys went home (party poopers) who basically told us several times that he was in the army and that 5 of his friends were killed in Iraq. Then when we left he acted really hurt because I wouldn’t spend the night with him. “But I ship out in 3 days!” I’m… sorry?

Bars are retarded. Funny, but retarded. Hanging out at Bryan’s after was… quite interesting, though.

This is such a lazy day. Last one for me in a while. Tomorrow I start my job at Blockbuster, and from there straight to Carmike. And it’s going to be like that for the rest of the week and probably forever after. But I figure it’s the best plan: make lots of money and don’t have any time to spend it needlessly.

I’m downloading Red vs. Blue episodes, FINALLY. It’s taking forever though. Crappy DSL. Ja ne.

I just realized, as I finish off a package of Pocky with a pooched out belly from slouching, that right now is the perfect opportunity to go to the gym. When someone doesn’t remind me, I totally forget. Egads. I wonder if I can even still run.

A crowded room of unobservant people. Limp Bizkit’s bonus track after Behind Blue Eyes playing. He’s sitting down, and I walk in. He sees me, and time slows to a glorious crawl. A glance towards him of inexplicable slowness and complete knowing. A stare at me that is filled to the brim with thought. The air is electrified with the thick static of desire, and the whole world exists in that very speck of time.

This is the moment I want to relive forever and ever.

It took Dell 5 hours via phone to discover what I have known for two months now.

I need a new power supply fan.

Fortunately, Dell has redeemed themselves by sending me a whole new power supply box and a replacement processor fan because they couldn’t eliminate that as a possibility despite my scratching my hand to bits as I tried to unplug the CD-ROM drive. They’re even throwing in the installation guy.

sigh Sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks.

I don’t understand what makes me so dang moral. If I wasn’t, I could find some happiness. At least temporarily. But noooo. I have to be the GOOD person. And because of that, I’m in this mood. This crap-tastic mood that has been hitting me a lot lately.

I just… I just can’t wait anymore. I can’t sit around and wait like this.

But there’s nothing else to do.

Haha. My friends are weird. And that’s why I fit in.

Today is good. Today is one of those days where you only sleep as little as you possibly need because you’ve been sleeping 14 hours a day the past two days, and where you wake up and realize that you’re not as snotty as you have been for a while, but you still have to take the nasty antibiotic pill for TWO MORE DAYS. At least I can swallow pills now. Yay!!

Yeah, I know you think I’m a dork and you’re not even the least bit excited, but after you’ve never been able to swallow pills and then you wake up in the middle of the night and all of a sudden you somehow magically can you get a little happy. I’ve swallowed Benadryl, and Dimetapp, and Motrin, and even the nasty antibiotic pill. It’s EXCITING.

I’ve been saying a lot of inappropriate things lately. I think just because it shocks people. I’ll stop. Still, there have been a lot of weird quotes I’d like to put down. I’ll just leave out the inappropriate ones, which would leave only two:
“Sometimes I’m just not in the mood to watch funny animals.” – my mom
“Tastes like flowers. Tastes like… big flowers.” – me, drinking tea

Okay. They’re not funny now. They were funny though. Really. Maybe you have to hear it in the Lindsey Voice. Huh.

This entry is sounding a little feverish. Maybe it is. But I know I’m a little better because instead of a hallucinogenic Benadryl-induced dreams I had a normal one last night. I was trying to explain to Scarlett Johannsen that I thought the lead singer of Good Charlotte was so cute because he was different.

I’m gonna go get ready for work now. Yeah, haven’t missed a day of work, despite death-bed. So I’d like to tell my co-workers I’m sorry. I’m not usually this weird. I think.

Wow. I am really tired. I’ve been typing for about 5 hours now. But the poetry page is up, here’s a link – click me.

The poetry and songs are pretty much finished, but I’ve only put up two writings, and there will be many many more. But my fingers aren’t cooperating very well anymore.

Had Sam’n’Ella’s for dinner. Artichoke wraps are yummy! I ate with Alesha and this really nice guy from class named Joe. Good times. I’m going to sleep now.

Wow. Because of last night’s endeavors, I can type amazingly fast today.

I’m taking off the playlist, just because I’m sick and tired of people telling me I can’t do that. And it’s too difficult to keep current.

And please go to the poetry page. And please comment. I want people to get into vehement arguments over what they think my poetry means. Or maybe it’s not that good. There are some gems in there though. Personally, I like the songs better. But for some reason, I really like the poem Don’t Dance With Me lately. Dunno.

I’m not going to post an entry for a few days, unless something extraordinary happens. I’m tired. And I start work tomorrow. So ja ne for now.

Holy crap that was a good concert. Woo-hoo. Now you get the story. As I was getting ready for the concert, Eric called me and said his brother was taking him, so we would see him there! Yay! After buying film and my mom some Sonic, Tony and I left for the crazily long drive to Norman. Very uneventful, really, except that we listened to Michael Jackson’s number one hits. Fun. So we get to Norman, and there’s all this OU crap everywhere, and we both want to blow things up. I personally had the sudden urge to buy a house in Norman so I could paint it orange and have thousands of OSU logos on my lawn. The only good part of Norman was Lindsey Street. Yay! It’s even spelled right. It’s in the wrong town, but… ah, well.

So we get to the concert, and because we had e-tickets, we had to wait to get down to the ground floor, so it was already a little crowded when we got there. But Tony really wanted to fight his way up to the front. And so did I. I’ve been to concerts before, but none as big as this, and there was significant pushing, but I’ve always found myself in the front row. So I’m thinking, cool, I can handle this. Story of the Year comes on, and they’re actually pretty good. Then Hoobastank comes on, and by this time, I am so crowded that I can just see shoulders and the back of people’s necks, and just the very top of the Hoobastank banner, which was really cool-looking. We are right smack-dab in the middle near the front, and I discovered this is not the best place to be. During the first two songs, we all get pushed around a lot. I was okay, I was dealing. Then it got scary. Despite Tony trying to hold people back, it started to get a little crushing. Where we felt like we were going to fall over several times… not just Tony and I, but the whole crowd around us. I’ve been in the middle of crowds like this, where people would mosh and you had to push them out of the way, or crowd-surfers, where my strategy would just be to crouch a little and let the tall people handle it, but I’ve never been in anything this bad. I would sway around, first almost falling one way, and then the other, desperately trying to keep my balance, and then I would get the wind knocked out of me by being crushed in between bodies, and then it would stop just long enough to take two breaths and it would start again, always getting more violent. It was madness. I totally went into survival mode, and I didn’t even hear the music at this point. It was too much to concentrate on not falling over. At the end of the third song, I was really getting tossed around. Tony and this guy I didn’t even know were trying to help me by pushing people away. I was so grateful to that guy for just helping. I think he saw how panicked I was. I thanked him, and then said to Tony, ‘I CANNOT do this again.’ And so I made my way to the edge of the crowd. It was terrible. I felt really bad immediately after, because I knew Tony wanted to get near the front, and because I was too wimpy to stick it out. I just kept seeing headlines of people getting crushed and killed at concerts, and an image of me falling and cracking my head open and no one even noticing. I really wanted to start bawling, because I had been so scared, but I didn’t. I got over it, and by POD we had made our way close to the corner of stage right. Still some pushing over there, especially during LP, but nothing crazy like before.

POD’s setup was really awesome, and they did pretty well even though I’m not their biggest fan. And then a big curtain was put over the stage that had Linkin Park with Meteora under it. We waited for a long time, and they started playing, and the curtain dropped, and it was so awesome!!! Their stage was really big, and a part of the stage they hadn’t uncovered yet was raised and Mr. Hahn was up there with all his equipment. Mike was way cuter in person, and Chester was really not. It was really really freaking awesome. I can’t even describe. And if I ever wanted to know if I could go for a really long time without water while being really sweaty and hot and still jumping up and down and dancing, well, I can. Although some of the staff were holding bottles of water up and pouring them into people’s mouths, and I got close enough to the rail once to get some. It seemed that one mouthful of water sustained me for another hour of Linkin Park. It was just great. I took some pictures, although it was with my regular camera, but you can get some of the pics digital, so I’ll try to post some when I get them developed.

I got to see Eric but only for a little bit after the concert, because him and his brother had seats. I went home amazingly sore, amazingly deaf, and amazingly thirsty, but it was still great. I wouldn’t take it back. Even the scary part. I still hear a fuzzy ringing in my ears, but uh… I’m pretty sure it’ll go away.

Sad news: my turtle died. Very sad. It was my fault, because I didn’t research it enough before I bought him. I didn’t know he needed a UVB light until I couldn’t afford one, but ah well. I’m just gonna clean out the tank and get some fish when I have money again. I think I was too poor to afford a turtle. I didn’t realize how much expensive stuff they needed. Rest in Peace, poor Chiyo!

And Shayna, I remembered that you were coming here on Spring Break after I said that. Yeah, I defenitely want to visit in the summer though.

And now I have to go, because I have a crap-load of stuff to do. My room is a wreck and everything is disorganized because I’ve been so busy this past week. Yay friends though! I love you guys. See ya later.

Have you ever read poetry you’ve written so long ago that you don’t even remember it? And when you find it and read it again, you’re just like, “Damn, that’s good. I wrote that? Damn.” Yes, well, I have found several. So I’m making a poetry page. As we speak. And here is the first one I found, written in February of last year:

    Take Notice

Notice two shadows in the half-light
Upon flying inside and looking around
One shadow, a doorway to a sunny meadow
Full of promise and laughter and shining
The other shadow, the entrance to Hell
Disgusting and putrid with feces and vomit
The silent figure of which the shadows originate
Sitting in a cleft in the middle of the world
The sun passes over, and shadow fights shadow
And time moves on in her pressing way
