Well, the Roswell premiere didn’t horribly impress me, but it was alright. I think it was just a little too much action for an hour premiere, it should have been two hours like Buffy. But looking at the spoilers for episodes 3-6, I think it’s going to even out nicely. It was still awesome, though, to see Max and Liz together again. I want to hear her tell him about futere Max and how she didn’t sleep with Kyle. I can’t wait for that. ^-^
It’s EXTREMELY rainy here. I didn’t go to any of my classes today. It’s basically been a boring, dreary day. Walking around in the rain was fun though.

Oh, boy. Roswell premieres today. I didn’t finish the Roswell site!! But I will put the episode summary up right away. ^-^ I’m so nervous. I hope this season is really good and UPN didn’t screw it up. They did Buffy wonderfully, so I have hope, but the commercials scare me. Liz skinnydipping? Please. Even the semi-recent death of Alex and learning that Max is a father couldn’t change her that much. Could it?
Enough rambling about that. Right now it’s way too early, I have class tomorrow, and I’m listening to the Fight Club soundtrack, which is putting me in a really creepy mood. I did make a new site though. But no telling, it’s a secret, and it’s not finished yet.
Yay! Roswell! Heehee, okay, going to bed.

Yay. New layout! This layout was inspired by two beautiful images, one of Katherine Heigl, and the other of a butterfly. And I love this color, so… I really like this layout, I think it’s going to stay up a long time so I can work on my other sites.
I declared my major today. ^-^ Yay chemistry.
Oh, wow… FTP just deleted this whole page, but thankfully there was Eric. ^-^ Yay! I’m so grateful, thank you Eric!!
The girls in the quad are decorating for halloween!! I’m so proud. *gush* Yay, all for now.

Hello, all. It’s a nice day. I just got through watching Bring It On. That movie just gives me a lot of energy, for some reason… Anyway, I started dancing, and made up this little cheer. (Don’t worry, my other personalities think I’m crazy too. ^-^) Yeah… at least Gina liked it. I swear somewhere inside me there’s an inner cheerleader. And I tried to kill her with heavy metal, but she just keeps poppin up. Right. Okay. Gonna work on a new layout now. Bye.

Hehe, it’s binary code day: 011001. Or 100101. Whichever side of the county line you sit. Yeah, updatey. It feels nice, doesn’t it? Lots of things happening, lots of things. First of all, I want to wish Gina a happy birthday. It was yesterday, but to me, still today because it’s 2:22 AM. Make a wish! I wished for no pain. Yes, that’s right. After a long, drawn out battle with Emergency Room Doctors of Little Brain, I don’t have an ear infection, I have the condition that is known as TMJ. It’s a jaw disorder… I’m really tired of explaining it to people, look it up on a search engine or something…
I am in a lot of pain right now. And it’s really late and I’m sleepy. That plus that equals loopy. Throw in the Internet, FTP, Notepad, and the chance to make a fool of yourself in front of the entire free world, and that equals UPDATE. HA. So no more hiatus message. It was kind of fun though, because it created quite a stir. Someone accused me of copying their website, when really, I got the concept from belldandy.net. That’s not right, anyway, saying that one color (okay, two with font) and a black-lined box is stealing a layout. Crazy stuff. And if that person had just clicked the link to my page, they would have seen that I am extremely capable of making my own nice layouts, thankyouverymuch. They called me a bad name, too. Not very nice. Not very nice at all.
I am a happy girl. In some aspects. In others, it feels like my world is falling apart. But in guy/girl relationships, I’m as happy as I’ve ever been. I don’t have a stupid crush on somebody, I’m not with anybody, I don’t want to be. And even if I wanted to be, I probably wouldn’t have time for that person. I love not caring about that stuff, just concentrating on me alone. ^-^ I don’t have to care what anybody else thinks. Well, God of course, but he loves me no matter what. Even if I choose to go outside with no makeup on.
    Lindsey @ 2:38AM

Wooohee. Christine from kitterfly.net (mi reflejo) has just linked me!! Yay!! It’s so nice to feel loved. But it makes me get the itch that all webmasters and webmistresses get: NEW LAYOUT TIME!!! Hehe, I need something… darker, more grown-up. Also, the pipes has moved and I have already fixed the link. I’m on top of things again, yes yes. “I wish I had something interesting to say, but all the interesting things I have to say are usually only interesting to me.”
There you go, a nice little Lindsey quote. My feelings right now would best be described by a monologue from the made for TV movie “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble” with John Travolta: “Who you goin’ with?” Yeah…

  • 17 September 2001

Hey. I haven’t written about my love life (or lack thereof) in a long time, so I’m going to post this little thing I wrote on September 10th. I think it pretty much sums it up. Of course, names have been changed to protect the innocent (namely me!):

How do you tell someone that you love him? That you’ve been waiting for him your whole life and you knew the instant you saw him that he was the only person for you? How would you even know? Every time I’ve encountered love in my life it’s been a disappointment. There’s the people that mean a lot to me, but there’s no… spark. The kind of relationships that just happen, comfortably. Which can be nice, but… I want the ONE. I want the person that from the first instant you see him, you just know. You just feel it, through your whole body, mind, and heart, and you look at the world completely differently, as though you’re able to breathe and see for the first time in your life. I want that. I haven’t experienced this yet, but I think I’ve come close. There are some people that kind of… match, but they’re not exactly the one. I think I’ve had one of those. It was in high school, and to this day, I still want something to happen between us, and I still think about him a lot. Not only does it feel right, and comfortable, it’s exciting… In Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule’s song “I’m Real” she says “I can breathe again, baby, now I can breathe again.” This is how I feel whenever I see his face… or hear his voice, or even think about him. Actually, he’s the only person I’ve ever thought about like that… I don’t know what this means, or what God has planned for me, or how life will turn out in the end, but I know I have to be patient, and I know I will find that person someday, whether it be him… or someone I have yet to meet. Right now, I’m feeling lonely. My recent breakup with Randy has left me feeling… lost, alone, scared, like there’s half of me missing. It’s been about 2 weeks, and I’m just now starting to realize that I’m still all here, and I just have to rediscover myself. I’m trying very hard to concentrate on myself right now, but I find that I keep trying to glob on to someone else, which I know is bad. I’m starting to love myself again, and feel complete just with me, but it’s hard not to feel lonely. I just keep having this feeling that God has a perfect person there for me, waiting, but if I make a wrong move, it won’t happen the way it’s supposed to. The other day I heard a sermon that I’m sure was God giving me a message. It was about patience and perserverance, so I’m trying to just sit back and wait. A while ago my friend Emily was telling this story of a woman who wanted love. She prayed to God that when she found her soul mate, she would know because he would give her a blue rose. Some time passed, and she saw a man in a grocery store with a bouquet of blue roses. But she was dissapointed because they were for his wife. (I think. Please don’t quote me on this story, I don’t know it very well.) As he was on his way out, one of the roses dropped, and a man coming in to the grocery store picked it up and gave it to her. And it was him!! Emily made her own blue rose prayer, except she chose one of those pennies with the heart cut out of it, and her fiance Scott was the one that gave it to her. I’ve been wondering lately if I should do this. I wouldn’t know what to pick though. Something rare. Hmm, I think I do know. It just came to me. I just want to KNOW when that special person comes along.

This is kind of how I feel now, but there’s one person I really like, and I don’t know if he likes me, but… I kind of feel that he does. Just a little bit. But I’m going really slow. Extremely. Anyway, bedtime for Lindsey.

Hey, I didn’t write yesterday because I was too preoccupied with Morpheus. It’s great! No copyrights, way better than Napster. And you can get music, videos, anything. (You can download it by going to the link of the day up there.) I’ve been downloading ROSWELL EPISODES!!! Yay!! I was having some problems with codecs, but I think I’ve got it all straightened out now. But the first episode I downloaded, I forgot to look at the language line, and the whole thing was in French! All I can say is thank goodness for the crashdown’s episode transcripts. I have the pilot, and Max to the Max, but I’m looking for the second one, The Morning After, and my favorite, The End of the World. Not having the best luck in finding these.
Other than that, my weekend has been pretty boring. I’ve been stuck here on duty. I wish I could go shopping (i.e. waste my paycheck) but I can never find Scott or Daniel to watch the place so I can get out of here for an hour. Funny how they always disappear…
Oh, now that I’ve made my ribbon, I look around and news sites have made them… I like mine better though. I think it was my idea first. No, just kidding. As long as people are taking the time to remember this tragedy and the families of the people that are missing, that’s okay with me.
Hey, I made the 1000 mark! It actually happened a few days ago, but I’m just getting around to saying something about it. So thanks very much to my regular visitors and my friends, or you might be both. Thanks!
    Lindsey @ 2:15PM

Yay!! I finished stars/earth. Well, didn’t finish, cause the past layouts aren’t up yet. But I made it! So go! Go there! You can find the link underneath the title image. Next I’m going to tackle Love, Hope, and Aliens, since Roswell is about to start…

This layout was for me. Opposition does form opportunity. The nation has faced great opposition, but with all things, God provides a way of growth and change. I guess this layout was to remind me that all hope is not lost. Because it’s not. It never will be.
It’s still shocking to me the events of Tuesday. I spent a lot of time reading my Bible yesterday searching for clues about this. I believe God revealed many things to me. I was also amazed when I read Nostradamus’ prediction of this attack. I’ll delve on this later, for now, I have to get to class, but I think you should read what Bobbi wrote, both on her splash page and especially her journal. I think it pretty much sums up how all of us are feeling. I’ll also post a list of blogs later today that were especially moving.
    Lindsey @ 11:35AM

Hey. It’s really odd how, during this horrible time, one thing we all did was scramble to read everybody’s blog, what other people were thinking and going through. So here’s my list of blogs I read that were especially touching/shocking/helpful. Some of them were so good I have added them to my read list.
    andy’s chest
    december-rain
    flutter glub meow
    notsosoft
    ultrasparky
    harrumph
    saranwrap
    toothpick girl
Oh, and here’s that Nostradamus prediction. Very freaky, you have to admit.
–>In the 9th month of the first year of a new millenium
A great burden from the sky, in a great city,
    Shall separate two brothers
Causing the 3rd and final war
    -nostradamus 1563
Well, that’s all for now. Must go work the front desk some more. Back to the daily grind.
    Lindsey @ 5:45PM

I made that little ribbon over there in Paint Shop Pro. Me and my friend Gina were sitting here and decided I needed to show my support and recognition of this horrible tragedy online. So I drew this little ribbon and put it up with a little statement I made. If you would like one for your page, feel free to take the image, and the quote if you’d like, but that’s more personal to me than the drawing. The only thing is the ribbon is made with this color background, so you can change it, or if you don’t have the resources to, please e-mail me and I’ll change it for you. Thank you!

  • 12 September 2001

Well. The day after. I’ve seen way too much stuff for my age in just the last two days. But they’re talking about how they think they figured out who did it, or at least they’ve got a lot of hot trails. That’s slightly encouraging.
So, new layout. I thought we needed something cheerier. And Shiri Appleby is just great, so… new layout. Not completely done, obviously, still some glitches, but I really like it.

Oh, my God… I just watched the second tower of the World Trade Center collapse, live on the news. This is the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m praying as hard as I can for all the people up there… I can’t believe this. Please God, save these people.
If you don’t know the whole story, please go to cnn.com.
    Lindsey @ 10:37AM

I haven’t cried at all until I heard about the Palestinian people celebrating in the streets because of the WTC. I have never felt more hurt and insulted as an American in my life. I can’t believe they would feel that way when all these innocent people just died. I don’t understand how people can do this to eachother. It makes no sense to me. *sigh*
Well, I thought I better update about my life since I haven’t in a while… Oh, geez, where to begin… Well, I broke up with Randy, we’re still friends and talk and stuff, we just… fell out of love, I guess. That was a few weeks ago though. I’m feeling happier than I have in a long time. At the end of our relationship, it was beginning to be damaging, I think. But now I’m happy, trying to figure out who I am by myself again. (Yay. Fun.) And something (or should I say somebody) happened (pounced) just like I thought it (she) would, but hey, that’s okay, I hope they’re really happy with eachother (herself). ^-^
I’ve been doing really good in my RA job, my floor’s really great, just some minor problems. School’s been alright too. Had my first Zoology test yesterday, I think I did okay. And my car made it to Tahlequah!!! Woohoo!!!
Hey, taking off split from the blog links cause I don’t think it’s coming back. I also found this great site, must link. It’s called brokenloop.de.
    Lindsey @ 4:33PM

    Wow. Lots of entries today.
Well, this purple layout had good intentions, it really did, but… I think it’s time for it to go. But I don’t want to until I can get a new domain, and get PSP on my new compy. I need to take screen shots of this purple one, and the blindsey one so I can have archives. Yes! I am actually making a past layout section! *shock* Oh, and I put August in the archives finally. What? You’re actually working on your website?! *faint* Hmm. Now if I can only work on the Roswell one. I’ll try. Love my new compy. Gotta go get ready for Kappa Phi’s Degree of the Pine tonight. Yay! I get to pick a little!!! Woohoo!
    Oh! Please to remind…
*Must go back to Goody’s on payday to get pants
*Must go back to Wal-Mart and get Connect Four
    *Must UPDATE WEB PAGE
*Must study for Government test Thursday
*Hmm… must make to-do list section on next layout
    That’s all, folks.
